On August 1, 2026, the ARTS-CHANGE project team held an intervention and co-creation session in the city of Cali, in collaboration with the trans community and jointly led with Casa Ballroom Hierbamala.

This gathering took place within a cultural framework. As the central focus of the event, a Ball (a competition structured around performance categories), designed and carried out by community members themselves. These categories served as aesthetic and political tools that enabled participants to explore, reclaim, and celebrate their identities in a safe environment.
Through performance and body expression, the event demonstrated how arts-based interventions can act as catalysts for social transformation. The gathering helped strengthen community bonds and reinforce participants' identities, while using artistic expression as a fundamental tool to raise awareness, foster reflection, and develop strategies of resistance against gender-based violence.
